Back by very popular demand. Lady Glenconner will discuss her latest and last book Trunks and Tiaras. At the age of 94, Lady Glenconner says this will be her final book, so she has saved up some of her best and most revealing stories for it. This may, therefore, be your only opportunity to listen to her. We suggest you definitely won’t forget it! Lady Glenconner was Lady in Waiting to Princess Margaret, but also a trainbearer at Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation, and much more besides. She has, in much later life, become a literary sensation, with her books selling in their millions. She appeared on The Graham Norton show to many people’s delight. A celebrated storyteller, this is a unique opportunity to enjoy ‘living history’ and the ultimate insider’s guide to a fast-disappearing world.
 
Lady Glenconner will take questions, following a 20-minute interval,  and also be signing copies of her books at the end of the event.
 
(Please note: You are very welcome to join us at a free ‘Silent Reading session’ in the Stage Left Area of the Theatre between 13:15 and 14:15 in which guests are encouraged to read in silence en-masse, before the Lady Glenconner event at 14:30. This is a free event – please just turn up).
